Finally Patriots’ Tom Brady has spoken out on the Wells report
released this week. Speaking on the occasion of an event at Salem State, Brady
has done his utmost best to assure his supporters that the victory at Super
Bowl XLIX was “absolutely not” tainted.
A defiant Brady responding to a question of whether the
controversy of the footballs used in the AFC championship game had in any way upset
his joy of winning the Super Bowl replied “absolutely not.”
"Because we earned and achieved everything that we got this year as a
team," Brady continued. "I'm proud of that and the fans should be,
too."
As Tom Brady entered the stage, he received a rousing ovation
from the fans. As soon as the event commenced, Tom Brady was asked about his reaction
to the Wells Report.
"I don't have really any reaction. Our owner commented on it yesterday.
And it's only been 30 hours, so I haven't had much time to digest it fully. But
when I do, I'll be sure to let you know how I feel about it," Brady
replied. On being asked when he would address the issue publicly, Brady replied that he would address it “hopefully soon.”
"There's still a process that's going forth right now. Whenever it happens, it happens. I'll certainly want to be very comfortable in how I feel about the statement that I make."
Brady attempted to remain strong and said that he had been dealing with a lot of issues in the past.
According to Brady, "I've dealt with a lot of adversity over the course of my career and my life.”
The Wells report had concluded that two people from the Patriots side, Jim McNally and John Jastremsk had released air from the game balls “in a deliberate attempt.”
However, the report clarified that other personnel from the Patriots side were not aware of the activity.
New England Patriots’ owner Robert Kraft was quick to
respond to the report.
"Throughout the process of this nearly four-month investigation, we
have cooperated and patiently awaited its outcome. To say we are disappointed
in its findings, which do not include any incontrovertible or hard evidence of
deliberate deflation of footballs at the AFC Championship Game, would be a gross
understatement," Kraft issued a statement. The NFL keeps get exciting all year long. With the Wells report out in the open, there may be much more to come. To watch all the excitement this season, opt for an NFL Game Pass 2015 to watch all NFL games this season.
